Mei is a medical device consultant and angel investor with a passion for transformative patient-centered solutions. She is preeminently experienced in driving forward the adoption of disruptive medical innovations, including life-saving Class III devices. Her consulting clientele ranges from start-ups to large corporations such as Stryker. She is also a practicing brain surgeon, trained at Johns Hopkins, with fellowship emphasis on minimally invasive vascular treatments. Combining her expertise in medicine and business, she successfully bridges the two industries with uniquely blended insights that are on-target and pragmatic. Herself an entrepreneur, she is amongst the 2020 national cohort participating in the STEM to Market program funded by Association for Women in Science to develop her novel stroke treatment device. With her leisure, she is a wellness and fitness enthusiast.
